Sei Young Kim displayed a spectacular golf at the LPGA’s Thornberry Creek Classic.
Kim reached 30-under par in tournament but she didn’t stopped there. She added another birdie, closed with a 7-under 65 and marked her historic week at 31 under for a nine-shot win.
“I never thought I’d shoot 31 under,” the 25-year-old said. “I really feel incredible.”
She breaks the Tour’s four-day record by four shots – she previously shared the record with Annike Sorenstam. The South Korean scored with a 63, 65, 64 and 65.
“I know it’s an incredible score. I would never have thought I’d shoot 31 under this week,” Kim said. “I don’t believe it, it feels unreal.
“I realized how to play well this weekend. I showed that and I did that. I have more confidence after this week. Hopefully there’ll be a couple more wins this year.”
