Committing to play at the Wells Fargo Championship, popular PGA Tour player, Phil Mickelson will be making his 15th appearance at the tournament, which will run April 30-May 6 at the Quail Hollow Club. The World Golf Hall of Famer, winner of 43 career PGA Tour titles, has won 5 major championships and holds the Wells Fargo record for most Top 10 finishes with 9.
Having had back-to-back 4th place Wells Fargo finishes in 2015 and 2016, Mickelson joins a star-studded field of committed competitors that includes 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed, Rory Mcllroy, Rickie Fowler and Jason Day.
Still to commit is 14-time major champion Tiger Woods whose return to competitive golf this season has been better than many expected.
While they can withdraw anytime, players have until 5pm Friday April 27th to commit.
